Terms of service.

The rules of membership. Most of it comes down to one idea: write about places you actually went, and everything else here works.

01

Agreeing to these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and Dial Labs LLC, the limited liability company that operates Vouch. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Vouch.

We have tried to write this the way we write everything else here, which is plainly. Where a sentence has to be precise, it is precise on purpose.

02

Who can use Vouch

You need to be 18 or older, and you need to be legally able to enter into a contract. If we have previously removed your account, you may not create another one.

Vouch opens neighborhood by neighborhood. Being eligible does not guarantee that the service is available where you live yet.

03

Your account

One human, one account. You verify with a phone number and a payment fingerprint, and you agree that the information you give us is accurate and yours.

Do not share your account, sell it, rent it, or let anyone else write reviews from it. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us quickly at david@diallabs.so if you think someone else has it.

04

The contribution requirement

Vouch is contribution gated. Three reviews to get in, and at least one contribution a month to keep viewing access. Quick ratings, dish confirmations, and freshness checks all count, so you never have to invent an experience you did not have in order to stay.

If you fall below the requirement, you lose viewing access until you catch up. You do not lose your account, your history, or your place in the graph.

We may adjust these thresholds as the community grows. If we do, we will tell you before it takes effect.

05

What makes a valid review

Every review must describe a real, first hand experience that you personally had. Not a friend's visit, not a summary of other reviews, not a place you have only read about.

You may not post a review that was generated by AI, written by anyone other than you, paid for, incentivized, or traded. You may not review a business you own, work for, are related to the owner of, or compete with, and you may not ask anyone to post a review on your behalf.

Reviews must not contain harassment, threats, slurs, doxxing, other people's private information, or anything unlawful. Criticism is welcome and is most of the value here. Cruelty aimed at a person rather than an experience is not.

We may ask you to verify a visit before a review publishes, and we may remove a review that breaks these rules.

06

Verification and fraud

To keep the data honest we use location checks at the time of review, receipt and purchase signals, rate limits, and analysis of reviewing patterns across accounts.

If we believe an account is manipulating the graph, we may hold reviews, restrict access, or remove the account. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a way to respond.

07

Your content stays yours

You own what you write and photograph. Nothing here transfers that.

You do give Vouch a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free license to host, display, reformat, translate, and distribute your contributions as part of operating and promoting the service, including in rankings, aggregate scores, and API responses. The license lasts as long as your content is on Vouch.

If you delete your content or your account, the license ends for future use. Aggregate figures your contributions already fed into are not recalculated backwards, and nothing in them identifies you.

Only post content you have the right to post.

08

Things you may not do

Do not scrape, crawl, or bulk extract Vouch data. Automated access happens through our API, under its own agreement, and not by any other route.

Do not create multiple accounts, manipulate scores or rankings, interfere with verification, reverse engineer the service, resell access, or use Vouch to build a competing dataset.

Do not upload malware, probe our infrastructure, or use the service to break the law.

09

Scores are predictions, not promises

Your predicted score is a statistical estimate of what you are likely to think, computed from the reviews of people whose taste resembles yours. It is an informed guess, and it will sometimes be wrong.

Rankings, menus, prices, and hours come from members and from public sources. We date them so you can judge how current they are, but we do not guarantee that any of it is accurate at the moment you read it. Check with the business before you rely on a detail that matters.

Nothing on Vouch is advice about your health, your allergies, or your safety. If a detail could hurt you, confirm it directly.

10

Businesses on Vouch

Places appear on Vouch because members review them. A listing is not an endorsement, a partnership, or a claim of any relationship between us and that business.

If you represent a business and something on its page is wrong, write to david@diallabs.so. We will look at it. We will not remove an honest review because a business dislikes it.

11

Ending things

You can delete your account whenever you like, from your settings.

We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to, or if keeping your account open would put other members at risk. The sections that are meant to outlive the agreement, such as content licenses already granted, disclaimers, and limits on liability, continue to apply.

12

Disclaimers

Vouch is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any recommendation will suit you.

13

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Vouch is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of one hundred US dollars or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as that jurisdiction permits.

14

Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and Vouch each consent to that.

Before filing anything, write to david@diallabs.so. Most problems are faster to solve that way, and we would rather solve them.

15

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change is material, we will give you notice before it takes effect, through the app or by email.

Continuing to use Vouch after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, delete your account.

16

Contact

Everything reaches us at david@diallabs.so, whether it is a general question, a privacy request, a report about a business page, or a legal notice. A person will answer.

The FAQ covers most common questions already, and the privacy policy covers what we do with your information.

How your data is handled

These terms cover the rules of membership. What we collect, who can see it, what AI agents can and cannot get, and how to delete it all is answered separately.
